I thought I would write some objections that I have heard to purposing, promising or pledging , but I am sure this is useless.  Remember this: for every objection you can offer against what God has said on this subject, others can offer three to your one in trying to repudiate what God has said about baptism, the church, the  Lord's Supper, or any other subject on which God has spoken.  Let us not deny God's word, but believe it.

Someone has said givers are like wells: there is the well frome which you have to draw the wwater.  Some wells have to be pumped.  SOme wells are over-floweing with water.  What kind are you?  Will you help restore New Testament giving?

If a man refuses to study the bible to learn what it teaches on giving if he closes his eyes to keep from seeing what the bible teaches on giving; if he lets it be known that his mind is made up and no one can teach him anything on the subject, this person  is just as surely to lose his soul as he is now living.  Piles Treatment He has no beter chance than the most wicked , and the sooner we learn this , the better it will be for the church. f any preacher lets some stingy peron scare him off from preaching the truth, the preacher will lift eyes up in hell with the stingy chuch member. it is only reasonalbe that the stingy, non giving church member would want the preacher fired for preaching on giving.  Someone has said if you can get all you can a nd save all you can and do not give all you can, then you are two fold more the child of hell than you were before.
